This book was a quick and enjoyable read. I've read Twilight and wasn't sure if I'd like another YA fantasy book about creatures, but this book was original and fun. The story isn't too complicated or too simple. The characters have depth and I can easily picture them as real people. Which of course means I had a slight crush on the main guy and definitely have my favorite female lead. It's a real "page-turner" and doesn't have too much teen angst, drama and romance - thank goodness! Love the action, too! Can't wait for the next one.
